The Raising The Bar Delta Leadership Summit sponsored by the Arnold Foundation will be held Saturday May 1, 2010; 8 am-3:30 pm at the Warren Cultural Center on the Campus of Warren High School in Warren, Arkansas. Every student in both Warren and Hermitage are invited to be a part of this exciting day-long event. The summit will begin at 8am and conclude at 3:30 pm. Lunch will be provided. The format for our day long summit will be based upon a certain set of life skills that we believe will give the students a firm foundation for success. Of course there are many recipes for success but given our limited amount of time we’ve selected five pillars which many, if not most, successful people today possess. Those pillars include a strong work ethic, a focus on education, self-discipline/sexual purity, business skills and of course faith in God. The goal of our Raising The Bar summits is to make sure each young man or young woman in Southeast Arkansas knows there is no limit to what they can accomplish if they apply these principles. But they don’t just need to hear this message they need to see it modeled by those who share their appearance and their background be they teachers, parents, business leaders or elected officials. Speakers include: US Reed, Sherman Tate, Monte Coleman, Anthony Lucas, Letrece Harris, Alexis Ware, Dr. Patricia Knott, Princella Smith and Pastors Cedric Hayes and Amos Gray among others. In addition, we will have representatives from over a dozen colleges, businesses and the military to inform the students of just a few of their options for success. Raising the Bar is a ministry of Beautiful Feet, Incorporated. BFM is a 501 (c) (3) non-profit corporation created in 2000. The mission of Beautiful Feet is to inspire, encourage and motivate others to become all that God created them to be.
